RAJARAMBAPU PATIL SAH.DUDH SANGH LTD. ISLAMPUR.
Veterinary
Our veterinary services ensure the health and productivity of your livestock. From expert care to timely support, we’re here for your animals’ well-being.

Artificial Insemination Services

Artificial Insemination (AI) plays a vital role in improving the genetic quality of dairy herds. Through AI, we help farmers breed animals with superior genetic potential, increasing milk production. Each year, 9,000 to 10,000 calves are born through our AI programs. We use sex-sorted semen and imported semen straws with high genetic capacity to ensure that the next generation of dairy animals has the potential for higher milk production.

Farmer Producer Organization (FPO)

Rajarambapu Patil Milk Union has established a Farmer Producer Organization (FPO)under the Central Sector Scheme for the promotion of 10,000 FPOs. This initiative, in collaboration with NDDB, focuses on fodder production and animal husbandry activities as business propositions. The FPO engages in the production and sale of green fodder, silage, crop residues, fodder seeds, and feed supplements. It also supports other animal husbandry activities to improve the livelihoods of dairy farmers.

Our veterinary services are committed to ensuring the health and prosperity of both dairy animals and farmers. By offering cutting-edge technology, preventive healthcare, and robust support programs, we aim to strengthen the dairy industry and enhance milk production.

Embryo Transfer Technology (ABIP-IVF-ET Program)

Embryo Transfer Technology (ABIP-IVF-ET Program)

Under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission and with the support of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), we have implemented the Accelerated Breed Improvement Programme (ABIP-IVF-ET). This initiative aims to enhance productivity through in vitro fertilization (IVF) technology. The project seeks to establish 100 pregnancies using embryos from high-genetic-worth females and sexed semen of high-genetic-merit bulls.

The first embryo transfer under this program was successfully completed in September 2022 in Kalamwadi and Bagani villages. The birth of the first female calf, named Laxmi, in Bagani Village marked a proud moment for the union.

Key Components of Animal Husbandry

Our veterinary services focus on four major pillars of animal husbandry, providing a complete support system for dairy farmers

Breeding

Improving Conception Rates

We enhance conception rates through advanced breeding techniques and Artificial Insemination (AI).

Calf Rearing Scheme

Our calf rearing program helps farmers raise healthy, high-yielding progeny, contributing to the future productivity of their herds.

High-Yield Animal Purchase

We assist farmers in acquiring high-yield animals, improving herd productivity and profitability.

Feeding

Proper nutrition is essential for healthy, productive dairy animals. Our feeding programs include

Cattle Feed Supply

We provide high-quality cattle feed to member farmers to ensure their animals’ health and productivity.

Mineral Mixtures

These mixtures help balance the diet of dairy animals, improving their overall health and increasing milk yields.

Fodder Development

We promote fodder development by supplying fodder seeds, chaff cutters, and straw treatment methods to improve feed quality.

Animal Health Care

Our animal healthcare services focus on preventive care and proactive treatments

Vaccination Programs

We conduct large-scale vaccination programs to protect animals against common diseases like Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD). In 2023-2024, we vaccinated 84,723 animals against FMD and 36,410 animals against LSD.

Mastitis Control

We offer support for preventing and controlling mastitis, a disease that affects milk production and quality.

Disease Diagnosis Laboratory

Our fully equipped lab enables timely and accurate diagnosis of animal diseases, ensuring prompt treatment.

Mastitis Control Popularization Project (MCPP)

In collaboration with the NDDB, we have launched the Mastitis Control Popularization Project to combat the widespread issue of mastitis, which affects 20-30% of India’s dairy animals. This disease results in reduced milk production and increased treatment costs for farmers.

Through this project, we focus on

Ethno Veterinary Medicine (EVM)

Ethno Veterinary Medicine (EVM)

Promoting EVM as a cost-effective and sustainable solution for treating mastitis and other diseases.

Subclinical Mastitis Detection

Implementing a field-level program to identify and treat subclinical mastitis, a form that often goes unnoticed by farmers.

Antibiotic Residue Testing

Monitoring the quality of milk through antibiotic residue tests, somatic cell counts, and aflatoxin testing.

Farmer Education

Providing posters, handouts, and training materials to help farmers detect and manage mastitis and other diseases using EVM.
